Pink was a colour widely used in interior decorating during the Victorian era before making a strong come back in the Eighties. In 2015 it shook off it’s sugary image and was named Colour of The Year by Pantone.
Whilst millennial pink still appears to be the colour on everyone’s lips, a softer blush is it’s cooler younger sister quickly taking the interiors world by storm.
One way to embrace the trend is with pink tiles that lift a space and well, are oh so instagrammable.

Make a statement on the floor
Not for the faint hearted, a statement wall or floor of pink tiles can make a room really pop. The private dining room floor at The Imperial in Erskineville is a prime example - pink and old pink coloured octagons paired with white and red squares make for a retro inspired finish.

Pops of pink
Using pink as indent colour is a great way to embrace the trend without feeling like you’re going OTT. The pink & red hexagon inserts on the floor at Cafe Fontaine in Potts Point for example add character without distracting from the other details like the warm timber and steel finishes.
Copper and pink are like the perfect couple, so much so that once you see them together it's hard to imagine them with anyone else. The use of brass tap ware against the pink & red rosettes in the the below bathroom for example is eclectic yet timeless combo.
