Walter's Steakhouse opened their doors in late March, bringing timeless charm to Brisbane's CBD. From the minute you walk into the heritage listed building you can feel the fusion of old fashioned hospitality and impeccable food.
Hospitality group DAP & CO named the venue after Walter Hill, the creator of the Brisbane City Botanical Gardens, which the restaurant overlooks. As such, the fit out designed by Inaspace harks back to days gone by.
The lounge style bar set amongst dark timber and warm lighting beckon you to linger. Look down and you'll see our Net hexagon pattern beneath your feet. Rosettes in chocolate and yellow are connected by pearl grey 25 x 25 hexagons and framed by a custom border in 20 x 20 squares.
Given the high volume of anticipated guests, it was important that the tiles were incredibly durable. Our mosaics were chosen not just for their aesthetics but because they're made of fully vitrified porcelain. With a porosity level close to zero and a tough surface that is resistant to wear, the tiles will retain their appearance for decades.
"We wanted the interiors to match the historic building we are located in. Using heritage tiles helped us achieve this whilst adding timeless charm." says Sean Waters, Marketing Manager for Walter's Bar.
Congratulations to hospitality group DAP & CO on another successful venue that takes you off the Brisbane streets and to another time and place.
